North Island

New Zealand has many faces. With a population of three and a half million people, and a land mass the size of Great Britain, the are many open spaces.

The North Island features tropical living, with more beaches than you can count as well as a rain forest in the extreme north.  Some of the worlds best surfing is found here. Auckland, New Zealand's largest city is home to one and a half million people. Summer temperatures (Dec-Feb) are 70 F - 87 F. Winter (Jun- Aug) 50 F - 70 F. A great deal of rain falls through out the winter season.

The South Island stretches to within 1200 mile of the South Pole. One of the worlds largest populations of whales live and circle the islands year round. The Southern Alps offer some of the worlds best skiing. The air is clean, and the water is crystal clear. Summer temperatures are 65 F - 89 F. Winter 45 F - 65 F. A small amount  of snow falls in parts of the South Island. Fly fishing is the best in the world here.
